  • DecemberUNFCCC Tenth Session of the Conference of Parties (COP10) (6-17 December, Buenos Aires, Argentina)
    GIO Manager, Dr. Nakane and Assistant Fellow, Chisa Umemiya attended COP10 and presented NIES research exhibits. Vigorous discussions and information exchanges on the research achievements of NIES took place. GIO Researcher, Tomoyuki Aizawa also attended COP10 as a member of Japan's delegations and assisted in discussions on Methodological Issues.

    Under the APN CAPaBLE Inventory Project, researchers from Cambodia participated in training of forest survey in Koh Kong Province, Cambodia with guidance from Japanese experts.

    GIO Manager, Dr. Nakane attended the Lead Authors Meeting on Cross-cutting Issues as a lead author of the chapter Time Series Consistency and took an active part in discussions.
