1. Overview

TPM is an annual meeting since 2004 with the objective of furthering environmental research in Japan, Korea, and China through efforts among the leading environmental research institutions in their respective countries: the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES; Japan); the National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER; Korea); and the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences (CRAES; China). The three Presidents of NIES, NIER and CRAES also with researchers affiliated with the three institutes will attend to exchange information, to review the progress and plans of joint research activities, and to discuss future collaborations for environmental research enhancement in the Asian region.

2. TPM 18 Outline

TPM 18 will be held online on November 4, 2021 hosted by NIER. A special session also will be included in the program as a substitute for the annual International Workshop held together with TPM. This session focuses on climate change adaptation and each institute will give two presentations on this theme.
